Sarah Kwong has written a number of scripts that are available to license for a production by your school or company. Many of these are adapted from well-known stories in the public domain.
A list of shows available to license below. They are all suitable for a young cast of varying sizes.
Some of them can be used as jukebox musicals, with a list of suggested modern songs included. The license fee does not include the rights to use the suggested tracks. The minimum fee is $250.00, with possible additional royalties depending on the scale of your production. You will receive a quote following your application.

Generally speaking, no. Minor changes to roles such as gender, names, or merging/splitting roles to suit your cast are acceptable, but no major adjustments to the script may be made without written approval.
Yes, for an additional fee of $25.00. This is for an archival recording license, and the copies of the recording may not be sold or broadcast. If you're using licensed music, you will need to apply separately for the rights to include these in the recordings, and this may be subject to additional conditions.

When you have decided the show you would like to license, click the link below to enter your information. If your application is accepted, you will then be sent a license agreement to sign and return, and an invoice to be paid prior to receiving your materials. A granted license will allow you non-exclusive access to produce and present the show during your requested season.
Once the license has been granted, you will be sent an initial invoice and a license agreement. Payment must be made and agreement signed before the script and other materials will be sent. Final payment must be made no more than fourteen (14) days after closing night of the season.
The materials included in the fee included a digital copy of the script in PDF format, and in the case of some shows, a list of suggested songs to use.
The license grants you the right to make copies of the script for the relevant cast and crew. The script may not be used for any other purpose other than what is stated in the license agreement. The licensee is not to copy any materials supplied by Wilde & Darling for reasons other than rehearsal and performance use, and are not to be used by any other person or persons.
Purchasing the rights of the script does not include the rights to the suggested songs. These must be applied for separately through APRA/AMCOS, and if using recordings, PPCA. The rights and usage of these songs is subjected to separate conditions.
If you would like to order printed and bound copies of the script, these may be ordered at an additional fee of $20.00 per copy.
The writer, 'Sarah Kwong', must be credited on all relevant materials, such as the program.
The right granted includes the right to perform said the script on the stage only and does not grant the right to perform in any other medium (including but not limited to radio, television, simulcast transmissions over the Internet, recordings, video, etc.).
Unauthorised recordings are prohibited. If a recording license has been granted, this must not be sold or broadcast on radio, television, the internet, or other method.
No changes will be made of the script without written consent.
The licensed show must be performed in its entirety as an independent production and cannot be performed in conjunction with another work either at the beginning, during or the end. This does not prohibit another show being used in that same production's program.
